Nikon Racist?

This is by far the funniest blog I have come across. Joz Wang and her brother, both Taiwanese-American, bought their mother a Nikon camera for Mother’s Day. When they all posed for portraits the camera would display a message reading “Did someone blink”. This happened every single time they took a picture. At first, they thought the camera was broken so they didn’t pay that much attention to it. Not until one of the family members posed with their eyes extremely open, which they called bug-eyed, did the message stop. They realized that no one had blinked , it was just because they just had Asian eyes. It was hard for them to believe because Nikon is a Japanese company, and thought that they should consider for Asian eyes. The problem with Nikon and other consumer products is that they are aimed for Caucasians. Soon Wong posted a blog that caught the attentions of Gizmodo and Boing Boing. I really think this is very funny and I hope no one is offended by this blog post.
